Efficient Wireless Drone Charging Pad for Any Landing Position and Orientation

A wireless charging pad for drones based on resonant magnetic technology to recharge the internal battery is presented. The goal of study was design a robust, reliable and efficient station where drone can land automatically its battery. components power transfer (WPT) system board must be compact light in order not alter payload drone. In this study, non-planar receiving coil WPT integrated into drone’s landing gear while transmitting designed any point orientation area. To meet these requirements, transmission accomplished by an array planar coils ground base station. configuration system, including three-dimensional multicoil transmitter, deeply analyzed evaluate performance WPT, considering potential lateral misalignment rotation due imprecise landing. According proposed configuration, (2 kg weight 0.5 payload) recharged less than hour, with efficiency always greater 75%.
